Shotgun is a hunting and sporting (rarely, but more and more often, also military and police) hand-held firearm that fires mainly mass (shot) projectiles. It has one or several barrels with a smooth bore. As a rule, it is single-shot or repeating, and rarely self-loading or automatic when used for military purposes. In hunting terminology, a single-shot shotgun with a single barrel is called unit, with two barrels side by side two, with two barrels above each other shotgun goat, with three barrels arranged in a triangle shotgun trio.
