The world-renowned company Walther, known for the reliability and quality of its weapons, comes out with a series of self-loading pistols PDP (or "Performance Duty Pistols"). The Walther company tries to think about the superior comfort of every shooter, regardless of the size of their hands. The series itself thus offers 5 models of different sizes, with the main division between the 'Compact' and 'Full Size' versions, which then differ primarily in the height of the gun frame.
All models of the PDP series are equipped with the perfect Performance Duty trigger mechanism, which is excellent for accurate shooting, with a clearly readable, smoothly increasing trigger resistance up to the given trigger point at 25 N. The trigger mechanism is also complemented by a short and clear reset, which guarantees an ideal behavior of the trigger during rapid repetition of shots. This trigger is rated as "Best in Class" (the best in its category of weapons) with superior user safety.
The above-standard reliability and accuracy of PDP pistols is then guaranteed by their graduated chamber. In addition, it promises less pollution even with a higher number of shots, primarily due to better sealing of the cartridge case, which reduces the penetration of gases and dirt back into the weapon. In addition, the graduated chamber also ensures an increase in the initial speed of the projectile.
Another key feature of PDP series pistols is their ergonomics and modularity. A small widening of the lower edge of the handle provides a more significant support for the little finger of the shooting hand. The result is then a reduction in the lift that occurs due to the recoil of the shot. From the category of modularity, the built-in, low-profile mounting for a micro-collimator (Red Dot), a Picatinny-type mounting rail, the possibility of adjusting the orientation of the magazine dischargers and the possibility of replacing the back of the handle (each PDP is then supplied with three backs of different sizes – S / M / L) dominate the category of modularity. . One of Walther's main goals was to design the PDP in such a way as to offer maximum interchangeability of parts and the possibility of combining various accessories.
Another great thing about the Walther PDP pistol is its factory sights, which offer excellent readability, making aiming much easier. Their very low profile, together with the three-dot highlight, makes aiming intuitively at the target significantly easier. In addition, these sights offer superior flexibility - the sight is fully adjustable both vertically and laterally. The universal mounting interface then offers a wide range of options to choose from among a number of different sights from many manufacturers (the mounting interface on Walther PDP pistols corresponds to, for example, Glock pistols).
The Co-Witness function then guarantees an arrangement in which standard mechanical sights in combination with an attached micro collimator do not in any way limit the field of view of the collimator itself. The weapon can also be fully used only with fixed sights.
In addition, the pistol from the PDP series offers ergonomics that help to intuitively guide the weapon to the target. The natural "sticking" of the weapon on the target is achieved primarily by the optimal inclination of the handle, weight distribution and parameter balance.
The grip surfaces of the gun are equipped with a texture made up of miniature, diagonally placed squares. The handles thus ensure excellent grip and non-slip under any conditions, whether in service conditions or on the shooting range, with or without gloves. It goes without saying that prominent fingerboards in places of natural grip ensure perfect control of the weapon in any conditions.
