Description
The Glock 17 is a self-loading pistol with a magazine capacity of 17 rounds of 9mm Luger expandable to 19 rounds. The world's most used pistol. It uses a Browning/Petter locking system and Safe Action safety and firing mechanism specific to Glocks, the metal parts of the gun are protected by a Tenifer coating. The stock is cut in front to allow a better grip of the pistol with both hands.
The Glock 17 has unsurpassed reliability, optimal magazine capacity and low weight. It is safe, light and fast thanks to the revolutionary trigger system - Safe Action. Exactly what you need in critical situations. It is designed for professionals.
Glock pistols are equipped with so-called trigger mechanism. Instead of a cock, they have a partially pre-stretched firing pin, which is fully extended by pressing the trigger. After the cartridge is fired, it returns to its original state when the trigger is released.
The Safe Action system includes three independent fuses:
- trigger - when the trigger is pressed, the lever protruding in front of the trigger is first pressed, which prevents the trigger from being moved unintentionally,
- firing pin – a metal sprung roller, preventing the firing pin from penetrating the primer until the trigger is pressed,
- falling - the firing pin is held in place until the trigger is fully depressed.
Glocks do not have an external (manual) safety.
