Description
A six-shot Slimline weapon in .45 Auto caliber that fits in the hands of any user. The GLOCK 36 introduces grip ergonomics to the next dimension. The one-piece magazine made it possible to create a thin frame and a handle with a reduced width. Together with the safe grip design and the minimal distance between the trigger and the grip, the pistol is very easy to handle. Since 2013, a rail has been added to the weapon frame for attaching accessories to the weapon.
Glock pistols are equipped with so-called Safe Action trigger mechanism. Instead of a cock, they have a partially pre-stretched firing pin, which is fully extended by pressing the trigger. After the cartridge is fired, it returns to its original state when the trigger is released.
The Safe Action system includes three independent fuses:
- trigger - when the trigger is pressed, the lever protruding in front of the trigger is first pressed, which prevents the trigger from being moved unintentionally,
- firing pin – a metal sprung roller, preventing the firing pin from penetrating the primer until the trigger is pressed,
- falling - the firing pin is held in place until the trigger is fully depressed.
Glocks do not have an external (manual) safety.
