Many TCCC trauma kits on the market can become very large and bulky when loaded. Although this is mostly necessary because the medical equipment itself is large, there is another option. After much consideration, T.REX ARMS in conjunction with Coyote Tactical Solutions came up with a clever design to slim things down without eliminating important medical equipment.
The tourniquet is moved to the bottom of the bag and attached with elastic loops. Inside the bag is a removable equipment tray. Unzip the bag on one side with both hands, grab the handle of the tray and you're good to go.
The MED1 bag was also designed as a multi-purpose bag. The interior is lined with velcro that allows you to attach our elastic battery/chem light holders to hold other gear. It can be quite a useful pouch for general purpose items. The wide Velcro tab on the front also allows you to attach decompression needles, chemicals, batteries, darts, even extra tourniquets with our elastic tourniquet holder.
