Haenel RS9 is a specially produced sniper rifle for military and police units. Their concept is based on perfect ergonomics and modularity. The rifle can be easily adapted to needs and different shooting situations without the use of any tools. The RS9 is a state-of-the-art rifle with incredible functionality. In 2009, it was also introduced as the G29 – a weapon of the German Bundeswehr and special police forces. The developers of the weapon used only the best available materials and technologies without any compromises. The entire production process complies with ISO9001 and NATO standards. The precision rifle RS9 (Rifle System) is the most powerful variant of the Haenel RS family. The .338 Lapua Magnum rifle is used in special police units.

The weapon is introduced in the German armed forces as the medium range sniper G29. The Haenel RS9 is an evolutionary continuation of the RS8 model it is not only about enlargement, but also about adaptation to a more powerful caliber. All the main components of the weapon, such as, for example, the bolt case, the barrel, are manufactured by Haenel in-house, which enables perfect output control. The trigger is a sports point with the possibility of fine adjustment of the resistance in the range from 6 to 18 N (0.6-1.8 kg). The factory trigger is set to 1226 g.

The trigger earned a rating from the editors of Calibur Matchqualität, which means that it is a trigger of the highest quality. The magazine is 10 rounds. The inside of the magazine is coated with a special layer that resists friction and increases reliability. The safety of the Haenel RS9 weapon is 3-position and also has a firing pin. The fuse has large tactile surfaces, which allow the fuse to be operated even when wearing gloves.

The barrel of this top-notch one sniper rifle is extended to 670 mm and is offered in three versions of the bore. Mainly they are cold forged from special steel marked 23CrMoV1210. The barrel allows the so-called free oscillation when firing. The barrel is finished with an 18×1 thread and is thick-walled. The barrel is fluted and cooling secures itself with 8 longitudinal grooves. In the cartridge chamber, the barrel is 6-sided, which facilitates its replacement in the event of a malfunction.

The conclusion is locked in two planes with 6 teeth. It is designed to handle pressure up to 8000 bar. The opening angle is 60°.

The stock is equipped with moving parts that can be adjusted without any tools. The foot of the stock is adjustable in height by 60 mm and up to 70 mm in length. The cheekbone can also be customized.
